Under the ‘Cask Exchange’ program, after aging Richland Rum for approximately three years, the contents of select casks are transferred temporarily to new barrels. The emptied casks are then used by Terrapin Craft Beer in Athens, Georgia, to age their Imperial Brown Ale Port for about one year. Once the beer is bottled, our own the barrels are returned to the Distillery in Richland, where the Rum they originally held is placed back into them.
This expression is close to 10 years old.

TASTING NOTES
The nose presents dark chocolate, coffee, tobacco, oak, and sweet caramel with even a hint of nutmeg. A soft, full palate presents ripe plums, figs, raisins, caramelized sugar, surrounded by toasted malt and mellow buttery hops and leads to a deep finish which brings creamy chocolate, ginger and wood tannins.
